The questions did contain some word shells/euphemisms into which the receiver
could project his own concepts: "active", "passive", "consumation", "occultism",
"inspiring" etc. Some of my questions were "suggestive" questions regarding my
essay on "The McDonaldisation of Occulture". Since my
reputation as an observer of the "Caliphate" might have hindered some of the
members of this organisation to answer to my questionaire, the reader of the
answers published here must bear that background in mind.
59 people have answered = 21% of 282.
Of course, this "analysis" is not an academic one. I just wanted to collect a
somewhat general "feeling" of what's "going on" in the "electric Occulture".

A questionaire for Occultists
In March and April 1997, I sent around a questionaire to 282 occult-related
e-mail addresses. Addressees were surfers-only, maintainers of large and/or
smaller web sites and also people who run a -L of their own.
